The Countdown Has Begun…YOU can help!

Hi Solvita Dems!

With Florida’s August elections less than two months away, we’re continuing to grow our impact across the state.

Over the past 30 days, Florida Democrats reached out to more than 290,000voters and had nearly 20,000 conversations.

On Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, Florida Democrats will take part in our 50 Days to Win Weekend of Action as we begin the final push toward the August 18 primary election.

With school board races and other important local elections also on the ballot across Florida, we’ll spend these two days talking with the voters we need to reach and continuing to build for November.

There are three ways to participate:
1. Join an event in your community
Find a local canvass, phonebank, or virtual phonebank and talk directly with Democratic voters.

2. Call Democrats from home
Join our Statewide Dialer Phonebank on Saturday, June 27, and help us reach 25,000 Democrats in a single day.

3. Organize your own event
Bring together friends and fellow Democrats for a canvass, phonebank, or volunteer gathering using our hosting toolkit.

We’re growing Democratic power in Florida the right way: sustainably, conversation by conversation, volunteer by volunteer, and community by community.

Please join us June 27–28 and help us do the work now that will deliver wins in August and November.

All the best,
Chris Byrnes
Statewide Field Director

SOLIVITA DEMOCRATIC CLUB NOTE

We are saddened to learn of Martha’s passing. She exemplified the values of our club and the Democratic Party. Over the years she led voter registration training and door-to-door efforts for many local, state and national candidates. She orchestrated fundraisers for the St. Rose of Lima Food Pantry and Habitat for Humanity through a series of Big Band Concerts that raised more than $100,000 towards these worthy causes. For the past five years Martha devoted her efforts to improving the lives of the needy in and around Poinciana by working towards the Lima Center, which will greatly expand the capacity of the Food Pantry and provide much needed community meeting space. Her relentless work helped raise more than $4.1 million — within sight if the $4.4 million required to begin construction. All while bravely fighting her battle with terminal cancer. Martha was our SDC Member of the Year in 2020. Our club, our community and her family will miss her dearly.

FAMILY NOTE

The family wishes to thank everyone for their extraordinary impact on Martha’s life. In lieu of flowers, she expressly asked for donations to complete her final act for her community, the Lima Center Building Project. See instructions above on how to make donations. There will also be donation boxes at the funeral home during the viewing.
